Job Description

Ensure the availability and optimization of the MSSQLin Hosted and IaaS SQL VM in Azure. Experience with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance databases in Azure.

Make sure to follow technical standards and operational procedures to meet database performance High Availability replication scalability and security requirements in both hosted and cloud environments.

The individual will need handson experience in design and troubleshooting realtime MSSQL related issues.

Monitor performance on application databases queries and suggest/apply continuous tuning.

The responsibilities include working closely with application teams and other Stakeholders in identifying issues related to MSSQL.

Must have experience in tuning of database instances.

Responsible for producing standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity security and performance.

The DBA will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.

Has a good technical understanding and provides technical support to application development teams when necessary.

Assist in resolving priority incidents to quickly eliminate impacts participate in rootcause analysis and support subsequent corrective and preventative actions.

Work closely with Database Team Lead collaborate with various Application support and engineering teams to optimize database performance and reliability.

Senior Database Administrator are encouraged and supported to acquire relevant Azure certifications (e.g. DP300 DP900 AZ900 Exam).

Establish maintain and adhere to CRD technical standards policies and procedures.
