Software Engineer

Wybe is looking for a Software Engineer based in Freiburg and surrounding area to help build the first social network that connects people in the real world, bridging the gap between online and offline world, and helping millions of users to shre what really matters: happiness. We're looking for makers with wide-ranging technical knowledge who thrive in leadership roles, but are not afraid to venture into the unknown and build features that defy and shape social norms.

The best candidates will have experience developing cross-platform mobile applications with Dart and Flutter, be proficient with Firebase and Firestore, and have successfully deployed and maintained apps on both iOS and Android.

Wybe's mission is to digitalize social life all around the world. As part of the team, you will work, do business, and have fun in technical hotspots everywhere, including, but not limited to, San Francisco, London, and Berlin.

Tasks

• Build and maintain mobile application features, working with a Flutter frontend and Firebase backend
• Work with user interface designs to build rich, intuitive mobile user experiences
• Quickly test and iterate existing product features with the help of user insights
• Take ownership of features at a product level, and actively shape the direction of the company
• Lead future technical hires by building agile work flows, ensuring efficiency and accountability across the company

Requirements

• Significant experience with Dart and Flutter

• Significant experience with Firebase

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams

• Comfortable working in a fast paced start-up environment

• Bonus: Experience wir ARCore

• Bonus: Experience with TensorFlow or other machine learning frameworks

• Bonus: An appreciation for behavioral psychology and social dynamics
