As one of the biggest actors in the Insurtech industry and after our successful series C fundraising, wefox Team is growing at a very fast pace. With strong growth come new challenges: as a Senior Technical Accountant (f/m/d) in our Vaduz office you will be helping us to reconcile various accounting issues from local GAAP to IFRS.

In this role you will

• Develop and update our accounting and valuation standards according to Local GAAP and IFRS, in particular for insurance contracts
• Actively participate in quarterly and annual reporting where you will also independently reconcile various accounting issues from local GAAP to IFRS
• Be responsible for the analysis and implementation of new IFRS accounting standards which includes drafting accounting guidelines on various accounting topics to improve internal and external reporting
• Contribute to group wide projects with a focus on the adequate presentation of the insurance business, for example the implementation of a group-wide reporting solution
• Ensuring compliance with accounting requirements (local & IFRS) in the context of entering new markets, connecting new distribution partners and channels, as well as in the context of developing new insurance products
• Structure and further develop the internal reporting for proper presentation of the insurance business

What you bring:

• Several years of relevant professional experience in financial audit or in group accounting of an international company in the financial sector, ideally an insurance company
• Very good knowledge of IFRS standards, the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS as well as good accounting skills in accordance with OR/HGB/PGR
• An affinity for IT and proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
• Interest in databases and the willingness to develop your skills in this area
• A distinctive analytical-conceptual understanding and solution-oriented thinking combined with an independent, structured, proactive and reliable way of working
• The Pleasure in familiarising yourself with new tasks and the joy to be working in a team with a hands-on mentality
• Strong communication skills: very good written and spoken English skills, German would be a plus
