• Java Software Engineer will join the Platform Consolidation team. This is a backendoriented position with a focus in heads down development modernization and platform cloud migration. This role is a blend of net new development and digging into existing code bases and modernizing for cloud readiness.
• You will be working to modernize and migrate platform applications within Availity that are critical to the US Healthcare system.
• This is a highly visible team that will be vital to successfully migrating the platform to the cloud
• This is a high performing team and you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally within the organization

• Leverages or knowledgeable of the following languages & frameworks Java JavaScript.
• Gradle
• SQL (Oracle & MySQL)
• Works with RESTful APIs and web services
• Applies Object Oriented Design (OOD) principles
• Understands database design principles & query language
• Implements codebased unit tests
• Gathers technical requirements and Writes technical documentation
• Writes code to maintain largescale complex systems
• Designs efficient and performant solutions using development best practices
• Mentors others on technologyrelated languages concepts practices & tools
• Works effectively with other functional teams including Leadership Product Security & Architecture.
• AWS or other cloud experience
• Experience modernizing application architecture to microservices and cloud
• Java experience paired with .NET
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry or ANSI X12
