Senior SAP BW Developer

We are seeking SAP BW Developer with the right skills to design complex custom BW solutions translating complex requirements in an optimal BW design while adhering to good systems development methodology. Candidate is also expected to prepare project related documentation (functional design, technical design, test scripts, etc.). This position will support the team as a subject matter expert in SAP BW on HANA. He will be responsible for defect resolution, end-user support and system enhancements. This includes configuration, unit testing, integration testing, documentation, and communication with various user communities. The candidate should possess hands on experience in development of SAP BW HANA, HANA Data Model Design and visualization tools development such as Business Object WEBI, Analysis for Office, SAP Lumira/SAP Analytics.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & Deliverables

Design and code SAP BW and SAP HANA data models adhering to SAP best practices. Key role in the analysis, design, development and testing of SAP Business Warehouse as well as front end reports and dashboards across multiple integrated actionable data sources to run the business more effectively. Working within the business and other team members to build requirements and design functional specifications for the data warehouse and frontend dashboard and reports. Maintain a clear understanding of the potential impacts of proposed solutions on the other areas of the system and/or project. Translate functional specifications into technical specifications and ensure a comprehensive data warehouse design. Hands on experience in BW on HANA, creating Advanced DSO(ADSO), Open DSO Views, Composite Providers and SAP query. Develop SAP HANA data model using ADSO and Calculation View. Advocate for modernization efforts and support implementation of the RAKEZ Enterprise Data Warehouse. Lead the effort of delivering top BI and reporting solutions and the Self-Service BI platform. Create best practices, data aggregation strategies, master data definitions, technical documentation and data extract procedures. Develop and deliver required technical design for BW HANA Technical Development of Data Modelling and HANA Calculation Views in Control Reports. Perform technical analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of reporting capabilities for maintenance and enhancement of SAP BW flows to support business analytics and reporting requirements. Work with the project managers/owners to understand the business requirements, participate actively in project deliverables including System Requirements, Specification Requirements Traceability Matrix and Functional Specs Test Plan preparation, which also includes defining Test Scope, test execution activities and run plan. Design and build ETL jobs: BW data flows, SAP Data Services.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Strong business acumen and understanding in a business process area (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing and Real Estate) and proven track record in leading and developing complex SAP HANA BW/BI enterprise solutions for global organizations. SAP BW HANA technical certifications a plus Strong written and verbal communications skills The ability to develop and drive the implementation of BW best practices and standards Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience with executive-level communication. Deep understanding of SAP HANA Data Modelling techniques and HANA Studio using Attribute View, Analytic View, and Calculation Views. Modelling experience along with HANA related development languages (SQL Script, HTML5, JavaScript).

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8 years of solid SAP BW programming and analysis experience Experience with BW administrator Workbench, BW Info Objects, ODS, Info Cubes, Info Packages, Info Sources Experience in development of SAP BW HANA, HANA Data Model Design and visualization tools development such as Business Object WEBI, Analysis for Office, SAP Lumira/SAP Analytics. Experience working together with functional consultants & business process owners to understand and document functional requirements and to devise appropriate test scenarios. Knowledge of business intelligence tools like SAP Business Objects or Power BI for reporting and analysis System integration experience, including interface design, and familiarity with web-oriented architecture techniques, APIs, preferably SAP and Salesforce
