The Marketing Manager will:

  • Play an integral role in the development and implementation of short and long-term marketing strategy to further establish company as the first School-Friendly, Vegan bakery brand to come to mind.
  • Aid in the development of company voice, look, feel across all marketing touch points including product, packaging, in-store signage, website, collateral, social media, PR, consumer facing activations, 3rd party on-line product listings, and trade events.
  • Work with our Digital Marketing Manager to best utilize social media and optimize web presence.
  • Work with sales team and independent broker network to proactively build out marketing support plans for new retail partners, prospects, and existing key accounts (pitch decks, sales materials, supported account plans).
  • Develop stories for press releases.
  • Constantly seek out-of-the-box ways to increase sales velocity and brand awareness using creativity, smarts, talent, and resourcefulness.
  • Leverage syndicated data, market research, and consumer feedback to unlock opportunities to strengthen brand narrative and position in the marketplace.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing within the food industry: The ideal candidate should have deep experience working in the food industry or a related industry, such as consumer packaged goods (CPG) or hospitality. They should understand food trends, food safety regulations, and consumer behavior in the food industry. Minimum of 6-10 years professional marketing experience in CPG industry (F&B industry) is a major plus.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills: The senior marketing person should be able to analyze market trends and consumer data to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy. They should be able to identify potential challenges and opportunities and create solutions to address them. Critical thinking and creative problem-solving.

  • Brand management experience: The ideal candidate should have experience managing a brand, including brand strategy, brand positioning, and brand messaging. They should be able to ensure that the brand is consistent across all touchpoints.

  • Strong communication skills: The senior marketing person should be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. They should be able to articulate their ideas clearly and effectively and be able to present them to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Leadership and team management skills: The candidate should have experience managing a team and providing guidance and mentorship to their direct reports. They should be able to create a positive work environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

  • Public relations experience: Must have prior knowledge and experience with advertising, PR, social media platforms and brand partnerships.

  • Digital marketing experience: The candidate should have experience with digital marketing, including social media marketing, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM). They should be up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.

  • Data-driven mindset: The senior marketing person should be able to analyze data to make informed decisions. They should have experience with analytic tools and be comfortable working with data.

  • Consumer-centric approach: The senior marketing person should be focused on the consumer and understand their needs and preferences. They should be able to create marketing campaigns that resonate with the target audience and build long-term relationships with consumers.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: The candidate should have an entrepreneurial mindset and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. They should be able to take risks and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.

  • Relevant Academic Degree: Marketing or related.
