Senior Freight Forwarder

You are the beating heart of our customer relationships and partnerships. Within this role you will have a varied set of tasks that you handle independently with a focus on customer satisfaction and proactivity. You will be in charge of your own portfolio and collaborate with clients to provide the best service. You are the engine behind the smooth operation of our services constantly working to optimize service delivery.

As a member of our dynamic team of 4 employees within the operations team you contribute to the success of our business by attracting good customers and partners.

Tasks

• Ensure fast and efficient transport of goods from A to B.
• Select the perfect carrier and mode of transport.
• Prepare freight documents and necessary import and export paperwork.
• Negotiate freight costs.
• Actively communicate and coordinate with suppliers carriers third parties customers procurement and logistics to ensure efficient progress.
• Create orders in our system.
• Proactively solve problems with excellent customer service at the forefront.
• Invoicing and correct handling of administrative tasks.

Requirements

Motivation is our driving force! As an enthusiastic gogetter you willingly take responsibility. You actively listen and inquire to precisely understand what the customer needs. A dynamic environment does not intimidate you; you can organize excellently and maintain an overview even when workload increases. Prioritizing comes naturally to you.

• Work experience in transport is a plus.
• Good proficiency in the office suite.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English both verbally and in writing.
• Availability of 3640 hours per week.
• Experience as a Freight Forwarder: minimum 4 years.
