Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients mental health status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and diagnosis.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications including monitoring and adjusting dosages as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric distress.
• Utilize therapeutic communication techniques to build rapport and facilitate positive therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
• Conduct regular patient assessments to monitor treatment progress and make appropriate adjustments.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops for patients and their families.
• Advocate for patients rights and provide resources for community support and ongoing care.
• Document patient care activities including progress notes treatment plans and medication records.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Licensure to practice medicine in the state of work.
• Proven experience in providing psychiatric care preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
• Expertise in psychiatric diagnosis psychopharmacology and evidencebased treatment modalities.
• Strong understanding of mental health laws ethics and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and manage diverse patient caseloads.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in psychiatric medicine and mental healthcare.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other digital healthcare technologies.
