Remote Senior Software Engineer (Java, React, and JavaScript)

Turing is looking for a remote Senior Software Engineer on behalf of a US-based company offering innovative solutions to patients in order to create a healthy living community by managing and sharing large healthcare costs. The engineer will be expected to own the product from end to end while being an enthusiastic and collaborative team member. The company has managed to build a unique community of members who help share the cost of one another’s large medical expenses through a secure platform. Job Responsibilities:

- Define and build simple solutions for marketing automation
- Work with a great engineering team to solve complex problems
- Design and build scalable APIs
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable codes
- Analyze website performance and drive improvements
- Contribute to building a scalable platform, utilizing software engineering’s best practices
- Collaborate to help refine the business requirements and evolve the company’s platform
- Fully own the services you and your team are building


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Extensive experience with Java, React, and JavaScript
- Nice to have some knowledge of Python
- Experience in building REST APIs is desirable to have
- Prior performance marketing experience is preferred
- Mastery of HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals
- Experience with modern frameworks and tools (Node.js, Next.js, React, Headless CMS)
- Experience with experimentation tools (Optimizely, Google Optimize)
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
- Experience in architecting databases or creating tables from scratch (SQL or NoSQL)
- Experience in supporting a website used for customer acquisition
- Experience with building and owning marketing technology (Analytics, Pixels, and API integrations)
- Understanding of modern marketing tech stacks and best practices
- Experience in building and managing ETL flows to answer business questions
- Comfortable with quickly learning new platforms or tools
- Experience in developing and analyzing A/B tests
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and cloud application architecture
- Strong understanding of CS fundamentals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
