Remote Back-end Developer (PHP, Laravel, Docker, MySQL, and PostgreSQL)

Only candidates with 3+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing is looking to hire a remote Back-end Developer on behalf of a fast-growing online storefront for rental businesses, working towards becoming the best in the industry. The selected candidate will be building the next generation of software for the equipment and event rental industry. The US-based advanced software company allows independent rental enterprises to accept customer orders and payments online while offering complete control over inventory and scheduling. This will be a full-time role requiring some overlap with the EST/PST time zones.

Job Responsibilities:

- Own the complete life-cycle of the product, from conception to completion, including planning, coding, testing, and distribution
- Consider non-functional requirements while designing with a performance-first approach
- Meet the roadmap's objectives by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from design, engineering, product, and sales


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
- Prolific skills with PHP (7.0 and above)
- Exposure to the Laravel Framework
- Strong Docker and Docker-compose experience
- Experience working with Relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Prior experience working with Linux is desirable
- Strong Communication skills in English
