Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular ICU -CVICU

Benelux Medical Staff a leading staffing agency is searching for a dedicated Intensive Care Unit having expertise in cardiovascular services for a Fulltime position in Corpus Christi Texas. Join our team and contribute to promoting healing and wellbeing by providing expert care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care for patients in the CardioVascular ICU (CVICU) specializing in cardiovascular services such as postopen heart thoracotomy and vascular services.
  
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments administer prescribed medications and monitor patient vital signs.
  
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records on care condition and progress.
  
• Participate as a primary nurse associate nurse or team leader in care planning and implementation.
  
• Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
  
• Offer leadership and direction to support staff within the department fostering a culture of teamwork and quality.
  
• Specialize in postopen heart thoracotomy and vascular services providing highly specialized care to patients.
  
• Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  
• Work in a stateoftheart facility equipped with cardiac catheterization labs cardiovascular surgery suites and a cardiac rehabilitation unit.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Able to assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care.
  
• Oneyear experience in nursing is preferred.
  
• Current Texas State RN License
  
• CPR (American Heart Association)
  
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date
  
• Unit Specific Requirements
  
• NIHSS required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
  
• EKG within 90 days of hire/transfer date
  
• TNCC required within 18 months of hire/transfer date
  
• ENPC or PALS required within 18 months of hire/transfer date
  

Benefits

• RN pay range $28.50 $46.40
  

• Shift $2.50 weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  
• $3.50 evening after 7 pm
  
• $4.50 nights after 11 pm
  
• Night shift Hours: 7 pm 7 am
  
• $10K signon bonus
  
• $5K relocation if relocating
