Job Description
Growing Retail Co in the El Monte area has a need for a Purchasing Manager. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : • Introduce products that fit our brand positioning, taking into account the characteristics of the Japanese market. • Meet market demand, reduce costs, and ensure product freshness. • Manage supply chain, reduce costs, ensure quality, and develop high-quality supplier resources. • Conduct market research, closely monitor market trends, grasp market conditions, and maximize cost savings for the company's procurement. • Responsible for the annual procurement plan, product procurement goals, and analysis planning. • Lead a team within the supply chain management function responsible for purchasing assigned products. • Recruit, select, and develop an effective purchasing team, providing leadership, coaching, and development to meet departmental goals.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or above • 5 years or more of living experience in Japan, with familiarity with the retail industry and the Japanese market • Familiarity with the product procurement process and have local supplier resources
