Public Relations Intern

Duration: 6 Months

Salary: 23000 pro rata

Tasks

Over the course of 6 months you will be trained on and gain commercial experience in:

• Best practice in account management and delivering excellent client services.
• Drafting press releases for features social media banks and abstracts for speaker opportunities.
• Issuing press releases to a targeted distribution list.
• Pitching and following up via phone and email.
• Speaking to and meeting journalists regularly to build media relationships.

Not to mention the opportunity to:

• Develop your professional interpersonal skills and office etiquiette.
• Attend seminars and develop. your networking skills at industry events.
• Contribute to BLUEs own social media.

Requirements

To succeed with BLUE you will need to excel in the skills developed during your degree:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Managing deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Disseminating complex technical information into captivating copy.
• Writing to a high standard with an engaging style and close attention to language grammar and accuracy.
