INTRO

Its objective is to facilitate access to entrepreneurial support for all types of entrepreneurs with a common purpose: to boost innovation that solves the problems that truly matter, generate economic growth, and new decent job opportunities.

Bridge for Billions, recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, Ashoka, and Acumen, has worked with more than 100 organizations such as Coca-Cola, Accenture or BMW, and institutions such as the United Nations in the development of entrepreneurship programs that support diverse entrepreneurs in the creation of innovative solutions for today s most pressing issues.

In 6 years, Bridge has grown to a team of 29 people from 13 nationalities, with headquarters in Madrid, where most of our team is based; an emerging LATAM HQ in Antigua, Guatemala, with a few team members; and a few people based in different places around the world. We will likely end the year 2022 as a team of 40 people.

Tasks

JOB MISSION

Support the coordination, communication and alignment between key local stakeholders, incl. government/health authorities and private sector stakeholders.

Bridge for Billions is looking for a public health expert based in Africa, to support the hub s activities together with relevant partners. The consultant has to support the coordination of the different work streams, manage relevant stakeholder groups/workshops, initiate new partnerships and be the liaison of the hub for anything digital health, grant management and partnerships.

ROLES & CONTRIBUTIONS

1. Coordination:

• Support the coordination, communication and alignment between key local stakeholders, incl. government / health authorities and private sector stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment across different layers of the initiative s governance structure in hub focus areas.
• Manage the grant management - provide information about the program implementation progress, emerging risks and opportunities, or any other ad-hoc enquiry as needed.
• Support local and regional activities such as workshops, participate in initiative s implementation activity execution and meetings.

1. Partnerships:

• Drive opportunities to enable the set-up of a functioning governance with health care authorities, technical teams and international partners.
• Help to secure buy-in, commitment and approvals from local authorities while focusing on alignment of activities with local priorities.
• Drive the pan-African scale up implementation plan for the HealthTech Hub Africa, with key focus on structuring the blueprint to fasttrack healthtech innovations in public health and partnership development activities.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent understanding of the regional health systems and health delivery
• Passion and experience in working on health and technology innovations
• Experienced in working with government entities and understand sensitivities related to government engagement
• Needs- and client-focused attitude
• Ability to support management of multi-party governance with local and global level representation
• Fluency in English and French both verbal and writing.
• Excellent collaboration skills, positive can-do spirit, high level of learning agility and of emotional intelligence to manage complex partner situations (government, private parties, NGOs, health providers, patients, international partners)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experiences with data governance, real world evidence, large scale program management, fund raising
• Experience with donor and grant management
• Able to start as soon as possible.

OFFER AND LOCATION

Transparent salaries and fair compensation structure, mid-range for the social sector:

• Compensation of 28,000 USD - 32, 000 USD per year, depending on profile.
• Location: remote position. Able to work from any location in Africa
• Start date: 15th January, 2023
• One year contract.
