Title: Project Manager

Location: St. Paul MN MUST be onsite

Rate: Open

Duration: 1 year

As a key member of the Project Delivery team the principal project manager will be responsible for delivering large complex strategic and highrisk information technology and business projects all the while ensuring project objectives such as cost scope ontime delivery and quality. Youll provide direction to large and diverse project teams cultivating and managing relationships with key stakeholders and customers to ensure transparent communication and high levels of engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive large complex highrisk projects simultaneously
  • Ensure proper governance structure is in place to best meet project objectives
  • Ensure standard processes and best practices for developing project plans that are well researched and ensure departmental involvement scope budget and time estimates business requirements along with tracking of decisions actions risks & issues reviews & approvals and reporting
  • Oversee and manage resource planning with functional leaders to ensure resource availability and required skill levels satisfy project needs and schedule
  • Manage and document changes to the project scope/schedule/costs using appropriate practices
  • Drive and manage risk management planning with the team throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Collaborates with security and ICFR team relevant to project objectives
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues escalating to leadership when appropriate
  • Develop contingency plans to provide alternative methods of keeping projects on track
  • Ensure project communication training and organization change plans are developed and implemented
  • Lead planning to develop and manage detailed project cutover and transition to production
  • Measure project performance using standard tools and techniques
  • Work across multiple project delivery methods and frameworks based on what works best within individual project work streams (Agile Lean DevOps Waterfall etc.)
  • Ensure defined delivery processes and required deliverables and methods are followed
  • Maintain compliance and reenforce companys standard policies and procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and evolution of project methods and processes to address emergent requirements
  • Manage relationships with internal & external stakeholders ensuring clear understanding of all customers requirements as well as keeping them informed of progress and issues while managing expectations on project requirements and deliverables
  • Influence enable and challenge stakeholders towards commitment and execution of project deliverables
  • Promote empowerment of the team by ensuring each team member is fully engaged in the project and is making a meaningful contributions
  • Coordinate prepare and present project status/other reports to executive team
  • Work with multivendor and multipartner solution implementations
  • Prepare SOWs review contract terms and conditions and support client negotiations as needed
  • Drive process for selecting vendors for projects/processes
  • Facilitate decision making when vendor involvement is required for a project and determine what tasks are to be assigned to a vendor
  • Determine if vendor is meeting performance expectations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in information technology business administration finance or related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • Project Management methodology certification preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential responsibilities of the job
  • Knowledge of banking and/or Farm Credit systems
  • Knowledge of current and new technologies as well as best practices
  • Proven experience/skills in the following:
    • Planning and implementing large/complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
    • Negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization
    • Organizing material and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency
    • Communicating objectives delegating responsibility and monitoring performance
    • Listening and conveying awareness of a problem or issue to find resolution
    • Preparing and reviewing complex detailed project plans and specifications in an accurate and thorough manner
    • Writing concise logical grammatically correct documentation to explain project specifications
    • Analyzing problems and recommending appropriate solutions
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to exchange information effectively with peers manager and customers
