Plant or Process Engineer mfx

Mycrobez a Baselbased cleantech startup is revolutionizing the packaging and construction industry by supplying a pricecompetitive and completely biodegradable materialalternative to Styrofoam Mediumdensity fiber boards and plastics: mushroombased composites (mycelium composites). They achieve this with their innovative bioprocess and by automating the whole production process. Mycrobez is in collaboration with many renowned research institutes and universities as well as with a multitude of globally leading companies in their respective fields and is supported by the Migros Pionierfonds. The growing diverse team of 18 motivated and curious people aims to achieve their goals by operating out of their custom facilities in Basel.

Tasks

Design construction and commissioning of the mycelium composite production
plant.
Develop and implement efficient production processes ensuring compliance with
safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including R&D teams in mycology and
material science to ensure performance and product quality.
Provide technical expertise in biology or food science to drive process
improvements and troubleshoot issues.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased
efficiency and cost savings.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends and regulations to ensure
compliance.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Biology Food Science Chemical Engineering
or a related field.
Proven experience in the design construction and commissioning of
production plants
Strong knowledge of biology or food science and its application in industrial
settings.
Familiarity with current industry standards and regulations.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects
on time and within budget.
Proficiency in data analysis and process optimization.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problemsolving abilities and a resultsdriven mindset.
