PIPING QC ENGINEER

1. Inspection and Testing:
   

   • Conduct inspections of piping materials fabrication welding and installation to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
     
   • Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) and coordinate with certified testing agencies to verify the integrity of welds and materials.
     

2. Quality Assurance:
   

   • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for piping activities.
     
   • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
     

3. Documentation:
   

   • Maintain detailed records of inspection and testing activities including inspection reports test results and compliance documentation.
     
   • Ensure that all asbuilt documentation accurately reflects the final installed piping systems.
     

4. Coordination:
   

   • Collaborate with project managers engineers designers and construction teams to address and resolve qualityrelated issues.
     
   • Participate in project meetings and provide input on quality control matters.
     

5. Compliance:
   

   • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME API etc.) as well as local and international regulations.
     
   • Keep abreast of updates to codes and standards that may affect piping quality control.
     

6. Root Cause Analysis:
   

   • Investigate and analyze nonconformances defects or deviations from quality standards.
     
   • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
     

7. Training:
   

   • Provide guidance and training to personnel involved in piping activities to enhance awareness of quality requirements and best practices.
     
   • Conduct regular training sessions on quality control procedures.
     

8. Health and Safety:
   

   • Ensure that all quality control activities are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
     
   • Report and address any safety concerns related to piping work.
     

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Relevant experience in quality control preferably in piping or construction projects.
  
• Certification in relevant inspection and testing methods (e.g. AWS Certified Welding Inspector ASNT NDT Level II).
  
• Knowledge of piping materials fabrication processes and welding procedures.
  
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
