Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design and Implementation:
   • Design configure and deploy network infrastructure based on business requirements and industry best practices.
   • Select appropriate hardware software and protocols to support network operations efficiently.
   • Install upgrade and maintain network equipment including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
2. Network Security:
   • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access cyber threats and malware.
   • Configure firewalls VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard data and privacy.
   • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents promptly.
3. Network Monitoring and Optimization:
   • Monitor network performance availability and reliability using network monitoring tools.
   • Identify and troubleshoot network issues such as bandwidth bottlenecks latency and packet loss.
   • Optimize network configurations and protocols to improve performance and efficiency.
4. Network Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate documentation of network topology configurations and changes.
   • Generate reports on network performance capacity and security posture for management review.
   • Develop and update network diagrams diagrams and procedures for internal reference.
5. Collaboration and Support:
   • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including system administrators developers and security analysts to integrate network services with other IT systems.
   • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to endusers and IT staff for networkrelated issues.
   • Participate in oncall rotation and respond to network emergencies outside regular business hours.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in network design implementation and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
• Indepth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs VPNs and routing protocols (e.g. OSPF BGP).
• Familiarity with network security principles tools and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Experience with network automation and scripting languages (e.g. Python Ansible) is desirable.
• Familiarity with SDN (SoftwareDefined Networking) and virtualization technologies is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
