Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Miller and Turner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling and turning machines ensuring precision in machining parts and tools. The role demands a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to produce quality work according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate milling and turning machines to produce parts and tools from metal plastic or other materials.
  
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
  
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  
• Select appropriate tools and materials for each project and manage inventory.
  
• Work closely with other team members including engineers and other machinists to improve processes and product quality.
  
• Maintain accurate records of job times materials used and work completed.
  
  

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Completed apprenticeship or vocational training in milling and turning or related field.
