Red Ember Recruitment is recruiting for a Mechanical Services Engineer based at the client in Port Elizabeth.
To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard
Control Maintenance costs according to the budget
Purchasing of Spares and Equipment
Manage projects
Liaison with suppliers
Implementation of all Safety aspects within the plant
Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery
Must be strong in decisionmaking and problemsolving Finding ways to improve the efficiency of an operation
Manage artisans with regard to performance discipline etc.
Training and development of staff
Stand in for the Plant Engineer in his absence when required
Dealing with all Engineering aspects within the department e.g.planned preventative breakdown maintenance and stock levels of spare parts.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years in a similar position
Above average computer skills
Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience
Must be able to read CAD drawings
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or tradetested Mechanical Fitter
Minimum N6
A certificate or diploma in supervisory management and/or a proven track record in a similar position
