Senior CMF (Color Material and Finish) Designer

Description:We are seeking a Senior CMF Designer with over 5 years of relevant experience to join our team. This position is crucial in ensuring the quality and aesthetic appeal of our products through the careful selection and application of surface materials. The Senior CMF Designer will take ownership of creating Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for surface materials including color trims textiles gloss and grains for both interior and exterior components.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of surface material PPAPs ensuring they align with project objectives and design intent.
• Guide the team through the development process providing expertise and direction on surface material quality.
• Define the design quality standards that fulfill the brands vision and uphold the brand promise.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure that surface materials meet design specifications and longterm brand ambitions.
• Secure design quality for all visual surfaces and parts whether sourced from suppliers or developed inhouse regardless of the development methodologies or technologies used.
• Stay informed about industry trends materials innovations and technological advancements to inform design decisions and maintain competitiveness.
• Uphold brand integrity by delivering consistent and highquality CMF solutions that enhance the overall product experience.
• Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams including design engineering and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration of CMF elements into product development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Design Product Design or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMF design or related roles within the automotive or consumer product industry.
• Strong understanding of color theory material properties and surface finishing techniques.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. CATIA Alias) and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and influence stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering highquality CMF solutions on time and within budget.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
• Passion for design innovation and a keen eye for detail.
