Linux Administration

Linux Administrator

We are looking for a Linux administrator who can manage and maintain our Linux systems and servers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving incidents reported from Linux OS in laptop and servers and ensuring the security and performance of our Linux environment. You will also be familiar with Kernel and patching process and have experience in working with Debian Ubuntu RedHat and Active Directory.

• Proficiency in Linux administration
• Familiarity with Red Hat Identity Management and Red Hat Insights (a plus)
• Solid experience in managing VMware environments with a specific interest in candidates who have experience with VMware Aria
• Experience with Tanium and knowledge of Linux management.
• Experience in administrating both Windows and Linux platforms (crossplatform) (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Install configure and update Linux systems and servers
• Monitor and optimize system performance and availability
• Perform backup and recovery operations
• Diagnose and resolve Linux OS issues and incidents
• Implement and enforce security policies and best practices
• Manage user accounts and access rights
• Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors
• Document and maintain system configurations and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Linux administrator
• Proficient in Linux OS administration troubleshooting and scripting
• Familiar with Kernel and patching process
• Experience in Debian Ubuntu RedHat and Active Directory
• Knowledge of networking and security protocols and tools
• Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
• Certification in Linux administration is a plus
