Full-Time Experienced Certified Medical Assistant for Podiatry Clinic - Footsteps LLC

Description:

Footsteps LLC seeks an experienced fulltime Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to assist our podiatrist at our clinics in Baton Rouge and Gonzales LA.

• Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient treatments
• Assist podiatrists during patient exams treatments and minor inoffice procedures
• Document patient medical histories vital signs medications and any other relevant information
• Perform basic inoffice laboratory tests and procedures
• Educate patients on pre and post procedure care test preparation medications
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
• Order organize and stock medical supplies and devices for clinics
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:

Able to Travel and Work at these Locations:

• Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Gonzales LA (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

• Baton Rouge LA (Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays)
• 6141 Parkforest Dr Baton Rouge LA 70816

• Current CMA certification
• 2 years experience assisting in a podiatry or specialty medical office
• Knowledge of medical procedures and instrumentation
• Professional friendly bedside manner
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical operations.
• Strong understanding in HIPAA and PHI
