About the role

Montgomery is actively seeking a selfmotivated and highperforming Event Manager to lead and drive their annual Propack East Africa event through research analysis relationships and market intelligence. The event manager will be required to develop strategies and initiatives to ensure the ongoing growth of the event. Reporting directly to the Manager with direct reports from the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager this position offers a unique chance to contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization.


As an Event Manager you will play a key role in overseeing the growth and direction of the annual Propack East Africa event.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Event Planning and Management:

  • You will understand company objectives and align event goals with a broader business vision.

  • You will develop strategic plans to ensure the events overall success and growth.

  • You will manage budgets effectively to achieve objectives and maximize commercial success.

Collaboration and Relationship Building:

  • You will be working closely with crossfunctional teams including marketing operations finance and PR to optimize resource utilization and results.

  • You will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders partners exhibitors and associations.

  • You will collaborate with various departments to enhance event brands and direction based on industry knowledge.

Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation:

  • You will develop and communicate sales strategies targets and commercial plans.

  • You will ensure events meet revenue targets attract key brands and achieve visitor growth.

  • You will manage sales teams providing coaching and support to achieve targets and maintain highperformance standards.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • You will create postshow reports in collaboration with other departments to guide strategic approaches.

  • You will analyze event aspects and provide regular comprehensive reports against plans to ensure targets are met and budgets are adhered to.

  • You will monitor and train teams on the correct use of systems for accurate recordkeeping.

Content Development and Delivery:

  • You will collaborate with marketing PR and content teams to deliver relevant and creative event content.

  • You will plan and implement visitorattracting content and features aligned with event ambitions.



Requirements

About you

MustHaves

  • You have proven 5 10 years of experience in event and project management

  • You have strong Project Management skills and are familiar with the endtoend planning and execution of events

  • You possess strong strategic skills including stakeholder management performance management resource management

  • You possess financial management skills including budgeting and experience with profit and loss statements.

Nicetohaves

  • You have experience with events in the manufacturing industry

  • You have exhibition knowledge and experience
