Environmental Health Safety Supervisor - Onsite

JOB SUMMARY

As the Plant Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor you will actively participate as a valued member of local team in providing leadership to the Health Safety and Environment programs at the Monofrax plant within the defined World Class Manufacturing framework in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct and Action of the clients culture. This handson leadership position entails active work in the areas of safety in the workplace driving safe behaviors accident prevention and minimizing environmental wastes to assure compliance with all local state and federal occupational health safety and environmental laws regulations and guidelines as well as with corporate health safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Plant Manager the EHS Supervisor plans directs and implements facility safety and environmental programs to ensure a safe healthy and accidentfree work environment.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in occupational health & safety Industrial Relations or any other relevant field of study; or Technical College Degree in Environment Hygiene and Work Safety combined with significant related experience.
• Experience in industrial practical leader in a union industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience in developing and delivering EHS training material for various personnel.
• Experience in chemicals environmental science and human health.
• OSHA 10 hour or 30hour Certification required.

NICE TO HAVE

• Masters degree in environmental science or other derived branches.
• Knowledge of WCM Environmental and Safety Pillars.
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER Preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Pushing/Pulling/Lifting Requirements: Typical Weightlifting Requirement 40 lbs.
• 25% for meetings and vendor site testing
