Key Purpose:

The Product Development Lead is responsible for leading the design and development function for multiple projects / programs across the division. The role holder oversees the design and development of new parts / components / products and ensures competitiveness and innovation of products processes from performance and design perspective. The role holder is responsible for ensuring delivery of projects / programs as per the targeted cost quality and delivery timelines with strong adherence to APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process.

Roles & Responsibility:

1. Develop plan and strategy for product development for multiple projects / programs and set direction in alignment to business plan & product development plan

2. Responsible for resource allocation costing and budgeting activities for the projects / programs

3. Review and monitor projects / programs timelines achievement and milestones at each development stage in adherence to Advanced Parts Quality Planning (APQP) process

4. Develop and implement systems to ensure parts / components / product performance and quality

5. Responsible for managing the product development team
