Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Emergency Services to join our team. In this role you will provide administrative oversight and leadership for our Emergency Department. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of highquality nursing care while upholding the mission vision and values of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Emergency Department including planning directing and evaluating nursing care.

Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer on nursing issues and hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met effectively.

Develop and implement departmental goals plans and standards in alignment with clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements of the organization.

Oversee daily operations staffing orientation training and development of department employees.

Lead ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives within the Emergency Department.

Facilitate departmental meetings and participate in hospital committees and task forces as assigned.

Foster a collaborative team approach to patient care within the Emergency Department.

Interpret and enforce hospital policies procedures and philosophies to support patient care excellence.

Monitor and improve customer satisfaction scores through effective patient engagement strategies.

Analyze patient volumes quality of care and staff performance to identify areas for improvement.

Investigate and address patient physician and staff complaints and concerns in a timely manner.

Conduct annual performance evaluations for self and department employees implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Utilize problemsolving and conflictresolution skills to maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Ensure compliance with required competencies for self and departmental staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Nursing required; Masters degree preferred.

Current RN license in Arizona.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an emergency department setting.

Strong understanding of clinical administrative and regulatory requirements in emergency services.

Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fastpaced environment.
