Scott & Crosby is excited to partner with a large hospital/health care company to find their new Director of Pharmacy
Type of role: In-office
Salary: $200,000
A large health care organization seeks an experienced Director of Pharmacy to support and lead pharmacy operations of a level 1 trauma and teaching hospital.
The Director of Pharmacy will provide pharmacy services oversight of TMC Adult, Children s, Heart and Vascular, Cancer Center Infusion Center and various outpatient pharmacy services, Related experience in a medical center is highly desired for this role.
The Director of Pharmacy evaluates operations on an ongoing basis, utilizing the principles of continuous process improvement.
Develop implements, checks and retools action plans to address variances and improve efficiency.
The Director of Pharmacy assesses, evaluates and ensues the competent delivery of pharmaceutical services and provision of drug-related information to inpatients and outpatients according to the needs and age of the patient.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Master s degree is highly desired and Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred
- Completion of AHSP accredited pharmacy practice residency or fellowship or demonstration of equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in a large health care organization
- Experience in academic medical center (teaching hospital); preferably level I or II Trauma
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Director of Pharmacy of a large healthcare organization
- Experience with strategic planning, quality improvement and cost savings initiatives
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient pharmacies
- Adult and pediatric patient populations is a big plus
