Design Engineer

The Role
Are you a Design Engineer or a recent graduate with experience in 3D design with hands on build Our client, a leader in their industry is looking to add a Design Engineer to the team

What will I be doing?
As a Design Engineer, you will have the responsibility of supporting and leading tasks within the Engineering team, leading the development of next generations of water treatment laboratory
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• Producing CAD modelling and the generation of engineering
• Generate concept design, conduct research and calculations, and undertake analysis of test data, product design, and inspection
• Production of development specifications, test plans, instructions, and other engineering-related
• Work with internal engineers within engineering and production to produce all required drawings needed for each "Mod Note" or drawing
• Maintain accurate timekeeping to allow for burn-down planning and reporting to be carried
• Working with the Manufacturing department and engineers, to implement modifications and changes as
• Ability to work flexibly to apply different skills as the project progresses through the development cycle to
• Ability to discuss and actively participate with suppliers and other purchasing activities/ teams to achieve the best cost for the final design

The Person

• Experience with 3D software . CREO, Inventor or
• Design and development in high-tech, precision engineering
• Experience in high volume manufacture and assembly would be an
• Basic design knowledge and experience of equipment and technologies used commonly within the water treatment industries ( Pumps, pipework, valves, and tanks).
• Good levels of experience and competence in drawing P&ID'
• Ability to proactively find information and answers so that design work is allowed to progres
• Technical competence and excellent problem-solving skill
• Proven experience in using Windchill PDM package, or proven experience with a similar PDM package would be an
