Direct client System Specialist Columbus OH Hybrid

This position will function as a highly skilled SS1 for updating historic bridge data within AssetWise Bridge Database. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Serve as the historic bridgedata Quality Control subject matter expert for the Departments Historic Bridge Portal project.

2. Evaluate and compare data and GIS locations between ODOTs Transportation Information Mapping System (TIMS) and ODOTs Bridge Inspection and Inventory data collection application (AssetWise) and historic bridge data including SHPO GIS mapping system.

3. Make data corrections in AssetWise; assetlevel inventory updates and bulkupdates.

4. Establish and implement QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy of historic bridge data in AssetWise and Ellis.

5. Structure File Numbers (SFN) will need to be established for approximately 150 offsystem bridges (work with OSE).

6. Work with appropriate ODOT staff to update TIMS to create a userfriendly interface with searchable SFN.

7. Manage collected data associated with historic bridges photo imaging files and documents.

8. Ensure all completed Management Plans fields are completed if applicable.

9. General QA/QC tasks as assigned.

Experience:

Excellent PC skills.

Able to follow written and spoken instructions

Ability to accurately analyze enter and manage data ex. Microsoft Excel.

Ability to accurately enter information into a computer accessing information from a computer and verifying information on a screen.

Duties involve utilizing automated equipment including electronic keyboard display screen camera and sorted memory

Ability to operate and understand basic scanning and imaging equipment including pan skew and image correction techniques

Ability to conduct data mining and data capture efforts

Keypunch and verify records in specified format (ex. ASCII)

The contractor must complete all data forms within an agreedupon amount of time from receipt or average a minimum of a set number of strokes each week data forms are in possession

Error rate cannot exceed 1/2%. Error rate is calculated on a character (not field or record) basis

Knowledge of imaging and visual display operating practices procedures and techniques

Knowledge of arithmetic and numbering systems
