Credit Risk Analyst

Location : New York / Los Angeles

Responsibilities

General Activities Review and assesses the financial history of the company to determine

if they are creditworthy.

Payment Ops: Build out payment reconciliation and collections reports to better identify,

Help to grow, develop, and accelerate the Risk team & capabilities.

Leverage a variety of first and third-party data sources to improve underwriting

processes, pricing, and ongoing risk management.

Build, implement, and test credit risk scoring models in their earliest phases.

Leverage a combination of judgment and data for a holistic approach to underwriting

SMBs

The ideal candidate

4-6+ years in commercial underwriting or risk analytics. Ideally working with corporate

credit, with experience at a nonbank lender or FinTech is a must

Evaluation of financial data, such as balance sheets and income statements to determine

the level of default risk

Preparation of a report for both the client and the lender

You have deep knowledge and first-hand experience building out a risk framework from

the bottoms up

Youre excited to get your hands dirty as an IC, and equally as excited to build and lead a

team of risk analysts as the company scales.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly improving, start-up environment that focuses

on solving problems with iterative technical solutions.

Intimate understanding of financial services, various lending & trade finance products,

and payments infrastructure.

Bachelor's degree or masters degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. science, technology,

engineering, math, business or economics).

Experience in FinTech is a must
