Role Description

Optimus is helping a client in the real estate industry in search of a Cost Accountant.

Location: Marikina

Schedule: Onsite; MondaysFridays

The Cost Accountant establishes and optimizes cost accounting practices ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing valuable insights to enhance operational efficiency.

• Reviews and analyses records of present and past operations trends and costs.
• Establishes inventory control system and standard product and raw material costing.
• Coordinates with Head Office Accounting all activities related to the accounting of Engineering transactions.
• Supervises the conduct of yearend inventory count.
• Provide regular and adhoc cost analysis reports for strategic planning purposes.
• Provide valuable insights on cost trends and potential costsaving opportunities.
• Identify and implement process improvements in cost accounting procedures to enhance accuracy efficiency and overall effectiveness. Work closely with cross functional teams to streamline operations.
• All other tasks that may be assigned by your direct supervisor or by the Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in the real estate industry particularly handling horizontal projects.
• Sound understanding of cost accounting principles standards and regulations.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for complex data analysis.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problemsolving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
