We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our nonprofit organization in Fresno CA. As the Controller you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations ensuring compliance and providing strategic financial guidance to our leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
  • Oversee daytoday financial activities including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow manage accounts payable and receivable and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with program managers to allocate resources effectively.
• Board Reporting and Presentations:
  • Prepare comprehensive board packages including financial statements analysis and relevant reports.
  • Present financial updates and performance metrics to the board during regular meetings.
  • Address any financial inquiries from board members.
• Audit and Compliance:
  • Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Work closely with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Assist in developing longterm financial strategies aligned with the organizations mission.
  • Provide financial insights to support decisionmaking and growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Team Leadership:
  • Manage a team of finance professionals including accountants and financial analysts.
  • Foster a collaborative and resultsoriented work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management within the nonprofit sector.
• Strong knowledge of notforprofit accounting practices and financial reporting.
• Experience in preparing board packages and presenting financial information to board members.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. QuickBooks Excel etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation:

• Annual salary: $120000
