We are hiring Clinical Nurse Manager 1 in the Memory Unit Permanent fulltime 39 Hours per week
Responsibilities
- Make sure that every intervention used to treat dementias noncognitive symptoms is routinely reviewed and that it demonstrates how it informs practice development and learning.
- Accountable for achieving the goals of the residential homes dementia/cognitive impairment care.
- Make certain that any intervention used to treat behavioural and psychological signs of dementia is routinely examined substantiated and contributes to learning and practice growth.
- Lead by example in clinical practice and serve as a mentor and resource.
- Collaborating with other medical professionals such as doctors therapists and support staff.
Requirements
- Must be listed as a registered nurse on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Irelands (NMBI) current nursing registry.
- Must have at least five years of postregistration nursing experience with at least half of that time spent working with dementia patients (within the last six years).
- To be eligible for a nurse management position one must have nursing experience.
- Must hold a postregistration qualification in healthcare management or be willing to get one within a set period and a postgraduate (Level 8/9) clinical qualification in gerontology or dementia.
