CAD Project Drafter Structural

• Keeping projects on schedule and the staff priorities focused on due dates
  
• Performing computer aided design and drafting (CADD) for the company s entire portfolio
  
• Performing effective client coordination on a timely manner scheduling monitoring and ensuring that projects are completed on time
  
• Organizing and standardizing client files and drawings
  
• Ensuring that plans sketches etc. are in compliance with all relevant building codes project standards and design intent
  
• Interacting with clients and performing cleanup of architectural drawings for new or existing projects and proposes initial structural drawings for Engineers to work off
  
• Keeping project files organized accessible and backed up
  
• Overseeing staff and their compliance with quality control standards in advance of plans and sketches going out to our clients
  
• Aiding the CAD Team and the Engineers in their work and staying on track throughout the project
  
• Taking ownership of assignment/project results with minimal assistance from Engineering staff
  
• Keeping work flowing and the CAD team constantly busy
  
• Developing and maintaining standard details library
  

Requirements

• Education Bachelor s Degree preferred
  
• CAD Drafting 8 Years experience
  
• Computer Skills AutoCAD MS Office; Revit familiarity
  
• Project Experience Structural (wood masonry steel concrete)
  
• License/Certification Valid California Driver s License
  
• Communication Strong written and speaking skills
