Responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst:
Data Analytics and Tableau Development
- Lead development of Tableau dashboards and data visualizations
- Generate and communicate clear, compelling, and actionable insights to help clients understand campaign performance and the customer journey
- Respond proactively to ad hoc data requests from clients and internal teams
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure that reports are completed on time, on budget, and without error
- Train other employees on data analytics/statistics principles, data visualization best practices, and data storytelling
- Maintain and evolve current reporting and dashboard processes to optimize and automate BI pipeline
- Maintain Tableau Server user permissions and file organization structures
- Assist Data Engineer with data acquisition and quality assurance tasks
- Generate technical documentation of data sources and flows
Requirements of the Business Intelligence Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, statistics, econometrics, information systems, computer science or related fields with strong mathematical acumen
- 2-5 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence
- Expertise with Tableau Software and Tableau Server Administration
- The ideal candidate is Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server Certified
- Expert with filters, parameters, extracts, live data sources, dashboard/worksheet actions, advanced table calculations, LOD calculations, and creative custom visualization development
- Above average skill in Excel including advanced functions
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based architecture
- Ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas both verbally and in writing
- Strong desire to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with other departments
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and reports
- Self-driven and comfortable working independently
- Attention to detail is extremely important
- Strong understanding and experience with marketing principles and KPIs preferred
- Ability to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Technical Skills for the Business Intelligence Analyst:
- Azure, Matillion and Snowflake
- Programming languages (SQL, R, Python)
- Statistics software (SPSS, Q)
- Marketing Mix Modeling and other marketing attribution techniques
