Backend Engineer

To this day, we have over 1,000 live customers, we were awarded fintech of the year in 2020, and have a growing team with experience in building the foundations of successful fintech companies.

We are looking for a number of proven Software Engineers to join our business, who comes from a Java background and has expertise in SpringBoot, your role will be to develop, enhance, and maintain our risk platform and play a pivotal role in developing our product. From mid level, through to Lead, we are looking to hire great talent in our 6 locations: Spain, Germany, Poland, UK, Netherlands and Estonia - Remote working, or be based in one of our offices Munich, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Tallinn or Warsaw.____

What you bring to the table

• You have 4+ years of hands-on experience in working with Java, Spring, Kafka
• Strong understanding of how a microservice architecture works
• Proven track record of delivering best-in-class products
• You have a strong product engineering and customer focussed mindset, taking ownership of not just the how, but also the why of building products
• You know how to help yourself and are ready to dig into code, APIs, SQL, documentation, and data in order to get the information you need
• Ideally, you have experience with fintech products

What you will be working on

• Supporting the existing product (account, invoices, reimbursements)
• Building a card system for our customers: from idea to deploying to the production environment
• Hands-on in working with Java, Spring, Kafka and understand how a microservice architecture works
• All the bells and whistles of modern development: microservices, DevOps, containers ... - and a team of really passionate people :)
• Improving the existing spend approvals infrastructure
