Associate Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities:

• Administer the requisition to purchase order process for information services orders.
• Enter and review all requests for proper information such as account coding fund availability and proper authorization.
• Request and compare quotes from multiple vendor submissions.
• Contact suppliers to expedite purchase orders and track past due purchase orders.
• Resolve any receiving issues for materials and manage the return of discrepant material to suppliers.
• Process hardware and software annual renewals in a timely fashion. (This needs to be defined more)
• Process receiving orders as they arrive. (I am not physically receiving them.)
• Assist with and resolve invoice and accounting discrepancies.
• Track the budgets under the IS area to ensure budget is available for expenditures prior to processing orders.
