Assistant Content Manager - Gaming

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy:
   

• Develop and execute the content strategy for the Gaming section at Sportskeeda.
  

• Collaborate with stakeholders (Tech SEO and Content teams) to plan and elevate the verticals growth.
  

2. Competitive Analysis:
   

• Benchmark Sportskeeda s content coverage against competitors implementing actionable insights for an enhanced user experience in trending celebrity content.
  

3. Ownership and Growth:
   

• Take complete ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) and growth responsibilities for the Gaming section.
  

• Work closely with the Content Manager & Senior Content Manager on R&D datadriven insights and overall development.
  

4. Team Management:
   

• Manage Content Specialists and writers on a daily basis.
  

• Foster collaboration and creativity within the team.
  

5. Content Quality and Processes:
   

• Conduct regular analysis and audit of the Gaming content on the website as well as competitor websites.
  

• Develop qualitative processes to elevate Sportskeedas brand in the realm of trending celebrity content.
  

6. Execution and Analysis:
   

• Implement the content plan through the supervised team ensuring roundtheclock coverage and timely news updates.
  

• Collaborate on creating datadriven dashboards to analyze content traffic sources and potential growth.
  

7. Business Performance:
   

• Continuously track business performance identifying opportunities for growth and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  

Requirements

1. Experience:
   

• 34 years of experience in managing content verticals with a focus on Esports and Gamingrelated content.
  

2. Industry Knowledge:
   

• Understanding of modern gaming culture industry trends and the dynamics of trending stories.
  

3. Skill Set:
   

• Proficient in SEO Digital Marketing Text Content Business and Analytics.
  

• Efficiency with social media usage and ability to streamline daily scouting and tracking operations.
  

4. Mindset and Skills:
   

• Growth mindset strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  

• Energy and passion for creating engaging content for consumers.
  

• Keen understanding of trending stories feeds and an eye for detail to identify compelling narratives.
