We are looking for an Asset Management SME to join the team at one of our most valued clients a Big 4 consultancy supporting an IT/OT transformation for a large energy client.
The successful candidate will integrate into the consultancys team and work directly with the end client providing subject matter expertise to support the project.
Type of job: Contract / freelance
Working hours: Parttime (TBC hours / week)
Duration: ASAP 31.12.2024 with option of further extensions
Location: Hybrid remote with up to 50% in Berlin or Brussels

Project background
The purpose of the project Central Services (IT Infrastructure Services in Substations & Offshore Platform is to analyse verify harmonise consolidate and finalise (versioned) the requirements specification for IT infrastructure services based on a modern consistent centrally managed service approach which complies with all safety and security regulations and simplifies operations and maintenance for the client.
In light of the ongoing energy transition a significant increase in the number of substations (on and offshore) operated by the client in Belgium and Germany is expected. Moreover the grid is progressively being managed with increasingly sophisticated systems. Transitioning to a significantly more complex power grid requires advanced IT infrastructure and modern substations which necessitates the consideration of IT and OT (Operational Technology) requirements.
The requirements specification developed by the project serves to ensure robust stable secure and above all predictable operation through efficient monitoring and logging as well as secure management of user identity and patching.
We are looking for talented experienced and motivated individuals to join this project.
Role description
In this role the individual will provide guidance and advisory to the project team based on a deep understanding of Grid Asset Management.
This role is part of the project team consisting of 8 roles and will report to the project manager.
Key activities
Provide guidance and expertise to the project team through extensive experience in grid asset and asset performance management during the phases of requirements gathering analysis validation and verification especially through validating requirements on IT Infrastructure Services from an IT/OT integration coherence and convergence perspective.
Requirements
The individual must have senior level expertise with experience in asset management projects in the energy (power) sector forming part of the project team and working collaboratively with different client stakeholders.

(Grid) Asset Management and Asset Performance Management processes and technologies
Deep knowledge in data driven digital transformation
Understanding of organisation structure and processes
Communication and collaboration
Strong communications skills both verbal and written with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders effectively
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams including IT OT engineering and project management teams
Customerfocused mindset with a commitment to understanding stakeholder needs and delivering solutions that meet or exceed expectations
Education and experience
At least 10 years experience in (Grid) Asset Management
Proven experience in Platform Solutions
Proven experience with "special" assets e.g. Statcom HVDC ...
