Primary Function: To create a learning environment and to plan an instructional program to fulfill the educational objectives of the grade level/classes assigned.

Assigned Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly productive classroom environment.
• Develops with supervisor objectives for his/her work.
• Plans learning activities appropriate to the subject(s) grade level(s) abilities attitudes and cultural background of individual students.
• Evaluates the work of students.
• Communicate with parents and school counselors to discuss the individual students progress.
• Advises and counsels students and cooperates with other staff members in assessing and helping students solve academic health attitude and learning problems.
• Supervises students in outofclassroom activities during the assigned working day.
• Participates in adjunct activities according to the collective bargaining agreement.
• Maintains professional competence through professional growth activities.
• Responsible for teaching the prescribed course of study and the districts established objective system.

Minimum Qualification: 1. Valid California credential authorizing service in the appropriate grade level and/or subject area.

CA Single Subject: Art Credential in addition to an English Learner Authorization

Applicants who hold an outofstate teaching credential/certificate will be considered. Attach a copy of your outofstate credential to your application. Internqualified candidates will also be considered.

Noncredentialed applicants who are moved forward for the position and do not have a CTC educator page will be required to obtain a Certificate of Clearance (COC).
