American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Certified MRI Technician certification Essential Job Functions:Performs MRI exams and procedures as requested by the medical staffAssists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and proceduresPerforms ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution billing and archival of exams and proceduresCompletes documentation in designated area of all information required for proper interpretation reporting archiving and retrieval of exams.Retrieves and file exam jackets written orders and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures.Participates in the implementation monitoring and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.Limited direction required in aspects of work performed.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrates sound judgement patience and maintains a professional demeanor at all timesAbility to work in a busy and stressful environmentCreativity problem analysis and decision makingAbility to work varied shiftsExercises tact discretion sensitivity and maintains confidentialityComputer applications MS Office EMR internet applications and standard office equipmentSelfdirected completes assignments accurately thoroughly and with minimal oversightStrong emotional intelligence interpersonal and teamwork skills
