A bit about the role:
A global payments FinTech is seeking a VP, VAS Sales to join their team in South Africa. Reporting to the Head of VAS Enterprise Sales with a dotted line into the Chief Commercial Officer, the role will be responsible for selling value-added-services (VAS) to Enterprise clients. This includes understanding market needs, identifying partnership opportunities, and problem solving with clients to create new solutions.
The successful candidate will have a hunter sales mentality with a proven track-record for closing large IT, Data, and/or Advisory deals against clear KPI. In addition, you must be highly collaborative, strategic, customer oriented and bring a structured & disciplined approach.
Your daily adventures include:
Selling value-added-services to large Enterprise clients, including data, point-of-sell integrated solutions, advisory, and loyalty against clear sales KPI
Being an expert in Consultative Sales approaches with ability to develop solutions that solve real client needs
Establishing strong relationships with the local teams as a critical determinant of success, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization (product, operations, marketing)
Managing an effective sales process, from lead generation to legal approvals to deal closing
Excelling in written and verbal communication, with strong analytical framework that can use data to see around corners
Translating client needs to high-impact solutions, and communicate this information effectively to the product and delivery teams for a flawless execution
Driving maximum client satisfaction and NPS from the organizations value-added-services during and post-delivery
Being comfortable in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced and ever-changing environment and willing to roll-up your sleeves to dive deep and effectively partner with internal and external teams
What it takes to succeed:
Minimum 8 years of experience selling Software/Data/Advisory/Loyalty solutions
Experience working as an IT or Strategy consultant is an advantage
An Advanced Degree is an advantage (e.g. MSc., MBA, or PhD)
Proven track record managing a successful portfolio of products and partners
Excellent communication and analytical skills
High energy, entrepreneurial drive, hunter mentality
Ability to influence others and partner effectively with peer organizations and teams
Does not need to be micromanaged
Self-Started and able to take initiative
Be an extrovert and like to build relationships
Someone who does not mind being an individual future leader
