Purpose of the Job:

Actively source and secure new business in global markets
Achieve set divisional sales targets and increase revenue for each allocated market effectively

Strategy:

  • Implement clients sales strategy as per the company business plan
  • Identify potential areas of opportunity to increase market penetration and retain existing customers
  • Develop and follow through on new potential client strategy
  • Plan and prioritize clients sales projects and initiatives appropriately
  • Keep uptodate with industry changes and adjust strategies accordingly

Client Relationships:

  • Ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is maintained in the business
  • Assist clients with the best pricing and product offerings
  • Collaborate with the operations and contracting team on client briefs
  • Continually review and come up with creative ideas for products offered to clients
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients clients in the allocated markets
  • Follow up with clients and leads

Business Communication:

  • Keep all business units (including operations) informed about sales activities and achievements regularly

Administration:

  • Understand and adhere to all divisional procedures and policies
  • Submit timely reports as requested and meet deadlines
  • Maintain complete confidentiality with all company intellectual capital
  • Prepare sales budgets spend and manage accordingly

Sales Targets:

  • Source identify and obtain new business
  • Generate leads from existing and new clientele within the allocated markets
  • Monitor client achievements and turnover figures versus past performance
  • Continuously follow up with clients regarding current and future business
  • Collaborate on tenders bid proposals and presentations to secure new business
  • Present Drifters brand in a professional manner at all times and protect branding integrity

Database:
  • Continuously manage update and develop the database

Teamwork:

  • Be flexible and assist colleagues outside of normal office hours when and if required
  • Traveling with a group or client may be required

Learning and Development:

  • Keep uptodate with industry trends
  • Attend exhibitions and trade shows when necessary
  • Actively source new products and creative ideas
  • Personal development on destinations and products

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Excellent South African and Regional geographic knowledge
  • Strong logistical knowledge
  • Experience in selling services
  • Solid experience in increasing market penetration and acquisition of new clients

Competency:

  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and to be accountable
  • Achieve sales targets and annual business growth
  • Manage client expectations
  • Long hours and some weekends and public holidays
