About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments while maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
• Verify invoice accuracy including pricing quantities and terms and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for invoice processing and payment approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements investigate and resolve discrepancies and communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
• Prepare and process electronic payments including checks ACH payments and wire transfers in accordance with payment terms and internal controls.
• Assist with monthend closing activities related to accounts payable including accruals reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records both electronically and physically ensuring compliance with retention policies.
• Collaborate crossfunctionally with procurement receiving and other departments to resolve invoice and paymentrelated issues and improve process efficiencies.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements initiatives within the accounts payable function as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
  2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting role preferably in a manufacturing or gaming industry environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with vendors professionally.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive financial information.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP) is a plus.
