A wellestablished fuel supplier is seeking to hire an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daytoday accounting responsibilities such as cash applications accounts receivable processing and data entry. In this seat you will using Great Plains and Excel to complete all tasks. Ideally looking for a candidate who is proficient in Excel (specifically using VLOOKUPs) and has exposure to an accounting software.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations
Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role
Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
Proficiency in accounting software such as PeopleSoft QuickBooks and Workday
Familiarity with payroll management processes and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Great Plains experience Minimum three years of accounting experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting; Masters Degree in Accounting is highly preferred Highly organized Can keep up in a fast-paced environment
