Job Description HSE Officer (Oil & Gas)
Position Title: HSE Officer
Location: Mesaieed Qatar
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Industry: Oil & Gas
Transportation: Provided by Company
Job Purpose
The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures at the project site to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies procedures and regulations
- Conduct site inspections risk assessments and safety audits regularly
- Ensure proper implementation of PTW (Permit to Work) toolbox talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct safety inductions and awareness sessions for employees and contractors
- Monitor the use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety requirements
- Investigate incidents accidents and near misses and prepare reports
- Maintain HSE records reports and documentation accurately
- Coordinate emergency response activities and safety drills when required
- Support management in achieving project HSE objectives and targets
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas projects
- NEBOSH IOSH or equivalent HSE certification preferred
- Good knowledge of HSE regulations PTW systems and risk assessment procedures
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Immediate joiners preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience in shutdown drilling or industrial maintenance projects
- Familiarity with Qatar Oil & Gas safety standards and procedures
- Strong observation and incident investigation skills
