CNC Machine Operator

Role Objective:
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery to produce precision parts and components from metal plastic or other materials. The role includes machine setup programming operation quality inspection and ensuring compliance with production safety and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities:
Operate CNC machines efficiently and safely to meet production requirements.
Set up and adjust machines including speed material feed cutting paths and tooling configurations.
Monitor machine performance to ensure maximum productivity and product quality.
Perform routine inspections and quality checks on finished products to ensure they are defect-free and ready for the next production stage.
Program set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines according to specifications and engineering drawings.
Study work orders blueprints engineering plans and machining parameters to plan machining operations.
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) accurately.
Input machine instructions establish reference points and set tool offsets and compensation settings.
Install and adjust machine accessories including chucks tools attachments collets bushings gears and fixtures.
Load materials and stock into machines safely and accurately.
Verify machine settings and first-run outputs by conducting measurements and inspections in line with international standards.
Monitor drilling grooving cutting turning facing knurling and threading operations to maintain production specifications.
Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine controls or programs as required.
Replace worn tools and maintain adherence to quality assurance procedures.
Follow all health safety and operational regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Carry out preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and technical support when required.
Perform any additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or technical certification in Industrial Machines CNC Operations or a related field is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Operator or Machinist in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
