To serve as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) responsible for formulating and ensuring the effective implementation of strategies for the acquisition provision and maintenance of marine equipment.
This includes ensuring full compliance with safe working practices established marine standards and relevant international rules and regulations in order to meet operational performance targets and ensure maritime safety.
Ship Masters license or a degree from an Institution of Shipping Studies.
10 years experience on board and on shore in a shipping company with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong people management skills.
Good understanding of various aspects of the fleet operations particularly marine related aspects (safety communication and navigation)
Advanced leadership skills.
Knowledge of marine/ ships technicalities tools and equipment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced analytical and reporting skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Excellent coordination skills.
Time management skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure.
Fluency in English.
