Job Title: Instrumentation Supervisor
Location: Qatar
Job Summary:
An experienced Instrumentation Supervisor is required to oversee installation maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems. The role involves supervising field teams ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining operational efficiency in industrial environments such as Oil & Gas Power Plants or Construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities related to instrumentation installation calibration and maintenance
- Ensure all work is executed as per project specifications drawings and standards
- Monitor and guide technicians for troubleshooting instrumentation issues
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for smooth project execution
- Ensure adherence to safety policies procedures and permit systems
- Inspect instruments such as pressure temperature flow and level transmitters
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and reports
- Conduct routine checks preventive maintenance and system testing
- Manage manpower allocation and ensure productivity on site
- Support commissioning and start-up activities
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical / Electronics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation field
- Prior experience in Gulf countries (preferred)
- Experience in Oil & Gas / EPC / Industrial projects is an advantage
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and control panels
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and technical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with PLC DCS systems
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and team handling capability
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
Required Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the UPS Systems or Power Electronics industry. Proficiency in handling UPS systems battery chargers telecom rectifiers battery systems and automatic power factor correction panels. Strong understanding of electrical/electronic principles and components. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams blueprints and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Effective communication skills both verbal and written. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Required Education:
Diploma/BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
